1. Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro global launch set for March 27
Finally, Xiaomi has announced after a long period of time that the Mi 10 will be launched globally on March 27th. The company declared on their social media.
Why is the Mi 10 series smartphone delayed in launching?
Mi 10 had to be announced on February 23 at MWC in Spain but due to coronavirus, it was delayed. Moreover, Xiaomi has posted the first official image of the phone that shows its curved screen with a punch-hole camera, sleek metal frame, 108MP quad rear camera arrangement.

Xiaomi confirmed the Snapdragon 865 Mobile platform with Samsung’s 108MP sensor for photography. Smartphones have a quad-camera. Instead, Company revealed up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM from Micron Technology and UFS 3.0 for the phone. It will come with Wi-Fi 6 8×8 MU-MIMO support, making it the first phone with the feature. Finally, Mi 10 Pro will launch this month.

2. Why Smartphones Price getting Increase?
Offline phone dealers are facing a shortage of top-selling models as some wholesale distributors are allegedly hoarding stocks in anticipation of increased prices by March-end due to production cuts in the factories of coronavirus-hit China, retailers and analysts said. Brands though said they had not faced such complaints so far, but were watching the unfolding situation closely.
International Data Corporation report said that there is a collection of top models of rapid-moving brands, especially in the below $150 segment, in expectation of a price rise.
However, none of the smartphone brands has yet officially increased the prices for their devices except for Xiaomi, which raised the price of the Redmi Note 8 by Rs 500 in February. In spite, Offline retailers in a few areas are unofficially selling some devices at a 2-3% premium, Joshi said.
